Masray Plastik Sdn Bhd (MPSB) was incorporated on the 13th January 1984, with 100% equities belonging to Bumiputera and registered with Ministry of Finance, which was awarded with the Bumiputera Status. The company started by producing Polyethylene Bags (PE Bags) for use in agricultural industry and was situated in Pandamaran, Klang, Selangor. In 1986, the operation was shifted to Seri Kelemak Industrial Area, Alor Gajah with future expansion in mind. The strategic geographic location in Kawasan Perindustrian Alor Gajah situated between Kuala Lumpur and the Southern Highway gave an advantage to the company in term of finished product delivery and raw material supply. Encourage by Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Melaka offer of two medium size factory lots to house the machinery couple with cheap and abundance labour in the vicinity, the company expanded by adding a new line of product, known as Woven Polypropylene Bags (WPP Bags). The market potential for WPP Bags in Peninsular Malaysia was large for which the supplies would not be able to cope up the near future. The demands for overseas market especially in the Asean Region are on the rise for which the company has planned to capture. The Directors have the confidents to penetrate the government and government sector especially the fertilizer industries, feed mill and rice millers. The fertilizer industries use the WPP Bag with inner liner while other industries use the WPP Bag without inner liner. Major customers in the fertilizer industries are FPM Sdn Bhd, CCM Fertilizer Sdn Bhd, Kilang Gula Felda Perlis Sdn Bhd, Pertubuhan Peladang Kebangsaan (NAFAS), Felcra Niaga Sdn Bhd and Felda Agricultural Services Sdn Bhd. The feed mill industries are Charon Pokphand, Sen Heng Chai, Cargill and Ayamas Integrated Poultry Farms. Other WPP bags produce are for sugar bags and flour bags. In 2004 the Company has invested into new machinery to produce laminated WPP and laminated PE bags. The Company has started production in October 2004 with WPP laminated bags @ 500,000 pieces to cater for the Gurun Fertilizer Plant and another 30 tone PE laminated bags for the rice industries. The Company planned to expand the WPP laminated bags production to another 500,000 pieces for other fertilizer industries and an additional 30 tone PE laminated bags for the rice industries in the near future. The Company has dedicated and experience marketing personnel to conduct the client needs and requirement. Their duty also covers the purchasing, bargaining and selection for customers of our product. The product quality is our priority to meet customer’s satisfaction. The Quality Assurance Department is develop to ensure the implementation for quality improvement is done with efficiency and efficient. With the effective quality controlled, the Company will meet the ISO 9001 : 2000 standard pushing over limit beyond our competitors.
