Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead
our engineering team. The Head of Engineering will be responsible for providing technical
leadership, overseeing engineering activities, and ensuring the successful
implementation of engineering solutions across our projects
.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the engineering team, providing direction, mentorship, and
support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Utilize extensive engineering experience to oversee and coordinate various aspects
of projects, including railway infrastructure, flood mitigation, civil and structural works,
station building, track works, and geotechnical engineering.
• Demonstrate expertise in Design and Build contracts, overseeing the design process,
managing consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with project
requirements.
• Provide technical input and guidance during project planning, design, construction,
and commissioning phases, ensuring adherence to quality standards and
specifications.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and
regulatory authorities, to address technical challenges and ensure project objectives
are achieved.
• Manage engineering-related risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation
strategies as necessary to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure
compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering
team, encouraging the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.
• Develop and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external
stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment of project objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in engineering and
construction, applying knowledge to enhance project delivery processes.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in engineering, with a proven track record of
managing engineering projects across multiple disciplines.
• Extensive experience in railway projects, flood mitigation, civil and structural works,
station building, track works, and geotechnical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in Design and Build contracts, including managing the
design process and coordinating with consultants and contractors.
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, standards, and
practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
effectively lead and motivate a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory requirements and standards related to
engineering projects.
• Professional certifications or memberships in relevant engineering associations are
desirable.
