Sri Melur jaya was established in the year 1995 where the first outlet was opened in Seksyen 25, Taman Sri Muda , Shah Alam. It was known as RESTAURANT SRI MELUR JAYA (RSMJ). The founder of the company, the late Mr K Gopalakrishnan was an avid food lover/excellent cook and opened his first restaurant in Shah Alam to cater the need and demand of people in Shah Alam. Then after in 1998, he opened another branch in USJ 17 Subang Jaya. Subsequently, 10 more branches were opened in Klang Valley.

The secret of success is solely on the food varieties in the restaurant. One of the most significant foods in RSMJ is its “Roti Canai” and “Dhall Curry” which attained overwhelming response from the customers. Restoran Sri Melur Jaya is an inspiring restaurant, combining an eclectic atmosphere with excellent and interesting food. Varieties of new cuisines were introduced such as Apam manis, nasi beriyani and roti tisu.
