The Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is a patient-needs driven, non-profit drug research and development (R&D) organization that develops safe, effective, and affordable treatments for neglected diseases that afflict millions of the world's poorest people. In less than a decade, DNDi and its partners have developed and made available six treatments for neglected patients in Asia, Africa and Latin America. DNDi's primary objective is to deliver 11 to 13 new treatments by 2018 for targeted neglected diseases and establish a strong R&D portfolio that addresses patients' treatment needs.
