Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject.
  • 5+ years of industry experience, including at least three years of hands-on testing and two years as a manager.
  • Expected to be versed in best of bread software industry engineering and lifecycle practices such as TDD, CI, CD, BDD etc.
  • Led an agile approach in a multi-national and interdisciplinary team before.
  • Experienced but hands-on manager with a track-record of building an organization and ensure it performs.
  • Strong people management skills, with a proven ability to hire, nurture and grow talented personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to track multiple test environments and executions simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results.
  • A team player that knows how to work closely with development and product teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
  • Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, business acumen and effective interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the department's vision, roadmap and OKRs.
  • Manage the department’s priorities, set guidelines for Quality Engineering team, and align them strategically across all of Engineering functions.
  • Assume strong leadership in development of test strategies, creation of appropriate test harnesses, and monitoring and reporting on key quality metrics.
  • Work across the company to define, implement and drive mechanisms, improvements, and process to bake in Quality and testing earlier in the software development process.
  • Collaborate closely with business and development teams to build the product vision and requirements, and understand how all elements of our platform work together
  • Track, publish and socialize the progress of projects and initiatives related to Quality Engineering.
  • Manage budget of the department.
  • Ensure that the department recruiting efforts stay in step with the product roadmap and company hiring plan
  • Manage all QA Engineers across multiple teams.
  • Hold regular skip-level 1:1's with all QA engineers.
  • Help the QA engineers to grow their skills and experience, ensure that they are happy and productive.
  • Exquisite written and verbal communication skills. Able to convey bottom-line messages to executives at C & VP level.
  • Interface with iPrice partners to address Quality and Performance gaps.
  • Research and advice team on modern technology and tools in the Quality Engineering space.
