Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certification.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment; experience in stainless steel or related industries is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin is essential to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and clientele.
- Proven ability to develop and manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and material availability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production bottlenecks, optimize resource allocation, and improve overall efficiency.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining inventory control systems to minimize waste and ensure accurate stock levels.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize project management principles to lead and coordinate production-related projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
- Capable of contributing to budgeting processes related to production, including cost analysis and variance reporting.
- Possess excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Exhibit critical thinking skills to proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the production schedule.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards relevant to stainless steel manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization, considering material availability, machine capacity, and labor constraints.
- Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and production departments to ensure accurate forecasting, timely procurement of raw materials, and efficient execution of production plans.
- Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery and minimize disruptions to the production schedule.
- Analyze production data, including output, efficiency, and downtime, to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs, while avoiding stockouts that could impact production.
- Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory turnover, to management on a regular basis.
- Implement and maintain production planning systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and continuously seeking opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
