Requirements

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively liaise with local and international vendors.
  • Entry-level position; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Vendor Management, Inventory Management, and Basic Accounting principles.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills to assess supplier proposals and optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  • Familiarity with scaffolding materials and construction industry standards is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Klang.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the procurement of scaffolding materials, construction supplies, and other necessary items for the company's operations, ensuring timely availability and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain and update the vendor database, including contact information, pricing, and performance history, while actively seeking new potential suppliers to expand the company's sourcing options.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, track order status, and resolve any discrepancies or delays in delivery, communicating effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Support inventory management activities, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock checks, and assisting in the implementation of inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize storage space.
  • Assist in negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable payment terms, while maintaining strong relationships with key vendors to ensure reliable supply and support.
  • Analyze purchase requisitions, compare supplier quotes, and evaluate product specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards, providing recommendations for cost-effective alternatives where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing information, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and assisting in the preparation of procurement reports as needed.
