Requirements
- Possess a Diploma in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment within the printing or publishing industry.
- Communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate proficiency in production planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet deadlines and production targets.
- Exhibit strong inventory management skills, ensuring accurate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, minimizing waste, and optimizing storage space.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures throughout the production process to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and streamline production processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Develop and manage production budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to ensure financial targets are met and profitability is maximized.
- Oversee the daily operations of the production department, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the entire production process, from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules, considering factors such as material availability, machine capacity, and workforce allocation, to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods, implementing effective inventory management strategies to prevent stockouts, reduce waste, and control costs.
- Conduct regular quality control checks throughout the production process, identifying and addressing any deviations from established standards, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste in production processes, streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Prepare and manage the production budget, monitoring expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
