Job Description

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, demonstrating a practical understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting tasks, including but not limited to journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes, including assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and management of the company's budget, providing insightful data analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and prepare tax filings accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.
