Job Description

Requirements

1. Engineering Support and Documentation

• Provide technical support across bus design, engineering, and production, emphasizing document control, standardization, and cross-department coordination.

• Create, revise, and maintain BOMs, bus assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and manufacturing process sheets.

• Develop and update engineering reports, specifications, validation documents, and test protocols for chassis, body, powertrain, and hydrogen systems.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical guidelines to ensure consistent manufacturing and inspection practices.

• Manage document control, version tracking, and ECN/ECR processes to maintain configuration traceability and compliance with project and quality standards.

• Compile and present test data, inspection summaries, and compliance documentation to support technical reviews, certification, and homologation processes.

2. Production Assistance

• Support bus assembly operations by interpreting engineering drawings, layouts, and change instructions.

• Coordinate with QAQC and Production teams to verify that chassis fabrication, body installation, and system integration match design requirements.

• Report and document production deviations, assist in root cause analysis, and help implement corrective actions.

• Update and issue revised process sheets or SOPs following engineering or design changes.

3. Testing and Quality Verification

• Assist in testing and inspection of major bus systems, including fuel cell modules, traction motors, braking, HVAC, and electrical systems.

• Conduct visual checks, functional tests, and dimensional inspections in line with QAQC and engineering standards.

• Collect test data and prepare structured inspection reports for validation, FAI, FAT, or PDI documentation.

• Support failure investigations and contribute to defect analysis and corrective action reports.

4. Material and Component Coordination

• Verify incoming bus components and materials—such as chassis frames, fuel cell stacks, tanks, harnesses, and control units—against engineering specifications and BOMs.

• Prepare and maintain part labels, inspection tags, and traceability records for subassemblies and kits.

• Coordinate material flow from receiving to bus assembly stations and resolve any specification or supply issues with Procurement and Engineering.

5. Process Improvement and Feedback

• Observe bus production processes and suggest improvements in assembly workflow, material handling, and documentation practices.

• Relay feedback from production and inspection to the design or engineering change teams to improve manufacturability.

• Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and 5S activities and assist in compiling process improvement and efficiency reports.

6. Collaboration and Communication

• Serve as a technical liaison between Engineering, QAQC, Procurement, and Production teams for bus projects.

• Record meeting minutes, track actions, and follow up on technical support or documentation tasks.

• Prepare technical presentations, visual aids, and training materials for bus assembly and quality teams.

• Maintain controlled access to engineering documents and drawings within the PLM or DMS system to ensure current revision use.
