Role Description

This is an on-site Intern role for an IT / Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer - intern position, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The intern will gain hands-on experience in software development, programming, information technology, and database management. Day-to-day tasks will involve developing, testing, and maintaining software/website applications, ensuring their performance, and collaborating with the team to deliver innovative technical solutions. Additional responsibilities may include participating in coding projects (front/back), troubleshooting technical issues, and managing web-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software tools, scripts, and applications, contributing to automation, data processing, and analytics systems.
• Support AI-related initiatives, including prototyping, model evaluation, deployment testing, and researching new technologies.
• Assist with IT support tasks involving hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Identify, design, and implement automation or process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Document technical workflows, project processes, and findings clearly and professionally.
• Stay informed about trends in IT, AI, software engineering, and fintech innovations.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred; Java, C#, JavaScript, or others accepted).
• Strong command of English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of IT systems, networking, or PC troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI tools, libraries, or foundational concepts is beneficial.
• Interest in fintech, databases, or cloud technologies is a plus.
• Proficiency in Information Technology and understanding of IT systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced environment
