As an Infrastructure Engineer, you focus on securely operating and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure with strong emphasis on hardening, compliance, access control, data protection, monitoring, and resilience against security threats.
Job scope in brief:
- Operate and support secure enterprise infrastructure across Windows/Linux servers and VMware/Hyper-V platforms
- Manage SAN/NAS storage environments with emphasis on controlled access, encryption, performance, and capacity governance
- Administer enterprise backup and recovery platforms (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup) ensuring integrity, protection, and recoverability of critical data
- Validate backup health through continuous monitoring, failure troubleshooting, and structured restore testing
- Execute and support disaster recovery activities including replication workflows, failover/failback execution, and DR simulation exercises
- Align infrastructure operations with cybersecurity standards, data protection frameworks, and defined RPO/RTO commitments
- Maintain system reliability through proactive monitoring, secure patching, OS/hypervisor hardening, and preventive maintenance routines
- Act as escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents, including those with potential security impact
- Conduct structured RCA for major incidents and drive corrective actions with focus on recurrence prevention and risk reduction
- Work closely with IT, cybersecurity teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve incidents and deliver infrastructure initiatives
- Maintain accurate and security-aligned documentation including configurations, operational runbooks, DR plans, and audit records
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization, capacity planning, and continuous resilience improvement with a security-first approach
