Job Summary
Lead architectural design and project management teams to develop schematic designs, ensure compliance with local building codes, and coordinate submissions with authorities, driving sustainable and efficient project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams to develop and prepare schematic design drawings for client review and approval, enabling other consultants to commence detailed design work
- Research and propose environmentally-friendly (‘green’) architectural concepts and promote the use of sustainable materials and equipment in designs
- Guide the Drafting Office to prepare drawings for various project stages and coordinate tender document preparation
- Monitor and direct the Drafting Office on submissions to relevant government authorities for approval and endorsement
- Coordinate technical matters across project teams and consultants to ensure smooth project progression
- Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules, submitting them to clients for approval
- Lead teams in attending consultants’ and site meetings and prepare accurate minutes of meetings
- Coordinate and monitor the status of submissions and compliance with competent authorities’ requirements
- Ensure all necessary forms, calculations, letters, and documents are prepared to meet authorities’ requirements
- Utilize proficiency in ACAD, Sketchup, Revit, and/or ArchiCAD to support design and documentation processes
- Work independently with commitment and motivation to deliver high-quality architectural solutions
Required competencies and certifications
- Registered Architect with Board of Architects, Singapore
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design and project management with familiarity of local building codes
