PURPOSE OF THE JOB
ZPMC Engineering (Malaysia) is seeking an Electrical & Commissioning Engineer for a short-term commitment (up to 12 months with possibility to be hired permanently) to support a specific project need in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The Electrical & Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the commissioning of electronic control system of AGV or similar logistics handling equipment, carry out independent program update and maintenance, complete the factory functional commissioning and commissioning on-site, complete the commissioning report independently, solve electrical system failures during commissioning and after sale, be able to feedback relevant electrical (automatic control) system problems to design and HQ engineers and settle Mid-level technical or communication issues during project.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
• Implementation of tasks assigned by HOD Operations.
• Prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity, and customer satisfaction, or as directed by the manager.
• Proactively assesses solution specifications in light of changing customer requirements, and recommends solution changes that optimize value for both the customer and the company.
• Continually gauges customer satisfaction among key customer project stakeholders.
• Coordinates closely with manager by communicating project status and success metrics.
• Adhere to accepted Drive and PLC, automation system standards design. Seek operational data and operations-based feedback, provide comprehensive and useful documentation and assures availability of adequate spares for efficient warranty support.
• Occupational Health and Safety standards, statutory requirements, relevant codes of practice, manufacturers’ specifications, environmental requirements and enterprise procedures are identified and monitored throughout the work procedure.
• Potential hazards are identified and prevention and / or control measures are selected in accordance with the work plan and site procedures.
• Work area is prepared in accordance with work requirements and site procedures.
• Train and mentor technicians in the Drive and PLC, automation and control system to assure systems and equipment perform to expectations.
• Repair and resets / adjustments are carried out, mindful of effects on, or unnecessary loss of, other equipment.
• Diagnoses Drive and PLC, control system fault at 24 hours on call basis.
• Final job inspection is carried out and permits relinquished in accordance with the work plan.
• Work is completed and appropriate personnel notified in accordance to requirements
• Work area is cleared of waste, cleaned, restored and secured in accordance to procedures
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• PLC technician / Vehicle engineering / Automatic engineering
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• High level communication and summary on site project;
• High familiarity with port technical method and procedure
• Experienced on VCU / PLC / C+ program;
• Master the debugging process and methods of common industrial controllers, inverters and other equipment;
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Pays attention to detail
• Able to work well with management and staff at all levels (Good interpersonal skill)
QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONALITY
• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Control & Mechatronics), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Marine) with more than 4 years’ experience, or Certificate with more than 7 years’ experience in related field.
