Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operation of production lines and maintaining high-quality output. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Operate production line equipment such as conveyors, and assembly lines. Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks. Set up machinery, ensuring all production materials are available. Operate and maintain machinery and production line equipment. Monitor the assembly line and remove faulty products. Work on the production line and meet production targets. Follow production guidelines and specifications. Finalize and package products for shipment. Log data and report any issues or malfunctions.

Ensure that work is carried out to according to Weir Mineral Malaysia’s Safety, Health and Environment policies. To perform operational job as directed by the Team Leader and Production Managers in accordance to the established procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI). To report any abnormities to the respective Team Leaders. To maintain a high level of cleanliness of all equipment used and housekeeping of areas worked in. To get involved in housekeeping and cleaning activities as instructed by Team Leader or Production Manager and during shutdown/ downtime periods. To perform any other job as instructed by Team Leader and Production Manager. Achieve daily work objectives and targets set by Team Leader Counts, weighs, measure and inspect external packaging of all incoming and outgoing goods.

Requirement : - Strong understanding of machine set-up, able to effectively change machinery for multiple set-ups with the various products lines and material requirements - Setting up machines (calibration / cleaning) to start a production cycle - Controlling and adjusting machine setting (speed) - Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines - Test operation of machines periodically - Able to work independently with minimum supervision and good communication skill - Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required - Performs other general duties as assign by superior from time to time
