Job Description
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in external audit, preferably in an audit or professional services firm.
- Familiar with Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS), Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and the Companies Act 2016.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting/audit software.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
- Audit Associates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform audit assignments in accordance with approved auditing standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepare audit working papers and ensure all audit documentation is properly completed.
- Finalise audited financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting and statutory regulations.
- Identify audit issues and propose recommendations to improve clients’ internal controls and financial reporting.
- Handle company tax matters, including tax computation and related documentation (guidance provided if no prior experience).
- Liaise with clients on audit and tax matters in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure all audit assignments are completed within the stipulated deadlines.
