Position: Civil QC Inspector

Project: SUWTE Sungai Udang

Location: Site-Based

Job Purpose

To ensure all civil construction works at site comply with project specifications, drawings, and quality

standards by performing inspections, monitoring workmanship, and coordinating closely with project

stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspection & Quality Control

• Conduct inspection for civil works such as:

o Excavation, backfilling, compaction

o Rebar, formwork, and concrete works

• Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, and approved method statements
• Verify site activities follow approved Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and quality procedures.

2. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IR) and site quality reports
• Maintain proper documentation including test results, inspection records, and QA/QC

reports.

• Control and update all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and corrective actions.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate inspections with subcontractors, consultants, and clients
• Attend site meetings and technical discussions with Client/Owner when required.
• Work closely with Site Manager and Construction Team on quality-related matters.

4. Quality Compliance & Improvement

• Identify quality issues and propose corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with company Quality Management System (QMS)
• Conduct site audits and support quality improvement initiatives5. General Duties
• Ensure all works are carried out according to project standards and client requirements
• Perform any other duties assigned by Project/Site Manager

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in:

o Civil Engineering

o Construction Management

o Or related field

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years experience in civil construction QA/QC
• Experience in industrial / plant / infrastructure projects is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings
• Familiar with ITP, QA/QC documentation, and inspection procedures
• Knowledge of relevant construction standards and specifications

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Able to work under site pressure and tight deadlines

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
