Resident Architect (Site)
Role Purpose
To provide full-time on-site architectural supervision, ensuring construction works comply with approved design intent, drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and contract conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and control all architectural works on site.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, materials, samples, and mock-ups.
- Act as the primary architectural authority and interface on site.
- Coordinate with Resident Engineer, M&E Inspectors, Clerk of Works, and contractors.
- Review and endorse architectural shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
- Monitor workmanship quality, finishes, and installations against approved standards.
- Identify and resolve architectural defects, non-compliances, and coordination issues.
- Issue architectural clarifications and site instructions as required.
- Monitor progress, report risks, and support progress claims, variations, and EOT assessments.
- Maintain architectural quality records, defect lists, and rectification reports.
Reporting Line
Reports to the Project Manager and coordinates closely with the Resident Engineer.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture.
- Registered with Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM).
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant architectural site experience.
- Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, materials, finishes, and statutory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage site coordination, quality control, and design intent compliance.

Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kuching: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
