Senior IC Design Engineer (Synthesis & Sta)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with RTL logic, Physical Design, DFT teams to translate RTL-to-gate level synthesis netlist with optimal Performance, Power and Area (PPA).
Responsible for all aspects of RTL to gate level synthesis netlist generation.
Participate in the efforts of establishing Synthesis & STA methodologies and flow automation.
Work on full chip or block level Synthesis & STA timing closure.
Guide junior engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Setup and perform RTL logic synthesis.
Integrate and perform DFT insertions (BIST & Scan) in synthesis flow.
Execute multi-voltage and physical-aware synthesis techniques.
Generate and manage timing constraints for functional & test modes.
Perform power intent verification.
Perform post synthesis STA verification.
Analyse clock domain crossing paths.
Perform logic equivalence check between RTL to gate level synthesis netlist.
Perform power analysis and power estimation on gate level synthesis netlist.
Support functional ECO rollout and verify ECO card.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Microelectronics and/or Engineering in a related field.
More than 5+ years of experience working as a Synthesis and STA engineer.
In depth exposure to logic Synthesis & STA methodology, flows and relevant EDA tools.
Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler/Genus Synthesis tool
Primetime/Tempus STA tool
PTPX Power Analysis tool
Experience in physical aware synthesis.
Experience in power aware synthesis (UPF/CPF) and power intend verification.
Experience in logic equivalence check (FEV/LEC) and ECO flow.
Experience in Spyglass Lint/CDC checks and waiver creation.
Experience in SDC timing constraint generation and boundary timing budgeting.
Knowledge in advanced technology nodes timing challenges, involving multi corners/modes, process variations (AOCV & POCV), voltage scaling, CRPR, and signal integrity/noise issue.
Excellent scripting skills (csh/bash, TCL, Perl & Makefile).
Familiarity with RTL, floorplanning, PnR and DFT design is an additional advantage.
Self-driven individual with a can-do attitude.
Ability to work in a dynamic group environment.
Excellent collaboration skills with all stakeholders is a must.
