JOB DESCRIPTION · Responsible for managing all facets of the accounting matters of the company, including month end or year-end closing process, financial statement preparation, audits, process management, and compliance to accounting, tax & other guidelines · Managing and overseeing the daily operations of direct reports, if any · Providing adequate accounting support to stores for daily business needs PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES · Organize and manage (but not limited to) month-end or year-end accounting process, provide insights and highlight any issues or help needed based on the figure for management review · Responsible for financial accounting, accounting system and POS management, reconciliation, revenues and expenditure and co-ordinate & complete annual audit. · Manage all aspects of the month end or year end close process, including the review of journal entries, reconciliation, and preparation of the financial reporting package. Collaborate with Accounting Shared Services and support global reporting. · Oversee statutory audit and tax compliance for business entities, ensure timely & accurately for the financial report · Responsible for correct and on time reporting and other submission related to tax matters (e.g. GST, WHT, corporate tax) · Drive process improvements to address operational issues and enhance the speed and accuracy of month end close or other accounting related processes · Identify & drive solution to address accounting or tax impact of any changes in policies or procedures (e.g. GST rate change on PO’s and Invoices). · Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential · Lead, motivate and develop subordinates (if any) for personal growth. Improve efficiency of the finance department. · Adhoc duties or projects as assigned by Finance Manager MAIN QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILL AND ABILITY · Recognised degree, ACCA graduate or other equivalent professional accounting qualification. CPA strongly preferred · 3-5 years’ experience in similar position in hospitality or F&B industry · Strong accounting knowledge, supervisory / leadership, analytical, process management, and decision-making skills · Good communication and interpersonal skills. · Independent, mature, and self-motivated
