Trucking Driver

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Drive and operate trucks to deliver goods to customers.
2. Pre-inspect truck to ensure that the truck is road worthy and that all safety items and documents are available and in order.
3. To submit checklist to superior or designate before departure.
4. Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
5. Once complete offloading the cargo, driver must get acknowledgement from customer and verify paperwork for accuracy.
6. Follow instructions: - locate and read location and road maps.
7. Responsible for cleanliness and basic vehicle maintenance;
8. Perform Puspakom inspections of vehicle prior to and/or following schedule
9. Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
10. Notify superior of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
11. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the Management’s instructions.
12. Make goods and trucks safety a priority at all times.
13. Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required
• Clean driving record with no violations
• Willing to do medical check-up, drug and alcohol test when required
• Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
• Physically and mentally fit
• Comfortable with long-haul transport

• Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
• Able to speak, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia
• To attend all training and presentation on health and safety matters as well as accident preventions
• To comply strictly with EHS related policies and procedures as well as all safety rules that are rolled out from time to time
