JOB DESCRIPTION:
1.To provide cabling scope services (new job assignments, cabling infrastructure, site assessment, termination, installation, maintenance work, deliveries & etc.) for Communication server, CCTV, Door Access, Software, Audio Visual, Sound reinforces, Barrier Gate & all those EXTRA LOW VOLTAGE Solutions.
2. Responsible for installing data and voice cable systems for residential, factory, routers, and other cabled devices. Duties may include digging and setting ground cables, working on poles, installing equipment, and troubleshooting any problems with the cable system.
3. Responsible for organizing and completing the infra day-to-day operations assigned through work orders, job assignments, servicing trouble calls and any related tasks assigned to him.
4.To ensure that you explain to clients/sales/admin/OM/leader to verify service orders, drawings, specifications, particular needs, and instructions, run, pull, stop and splice copper and fiber optic cables, such as CAT5, SE, CAT6, low voltage cables, and fiber.
5. To ensure that you mount telecom or network equipment while adhering to best practices, industry standards, and manufacturer requirements.
6.To ensure that you choose and verify cable pathways, conduct site surveys for clients, and assist in designing, creating, and implementing standards and specifications.
7.To ensure that you plan and understand the job assignments received. Plan the network and voice infrastructure by studying and understanding the route with the effective and budget route for the overall project.
8. To ensure you have sufficient materials and equipment. Pre-arrange with OM and leader for the supplies, materials, and tools.
9.Able install closet hardware, including connecting blocks, fiber enclosures, racks, backboards, and patch panels.
10.Able to work on all aspects of telecommunication industry when required, such as wiring practices, underground work, color code and terminations, the ability to understand signal flow and signal path, and DSL and Ethernet connections.
11.Cabling infrastructure work includes but not limited to pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexers, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems; building ironwork and ladder racks; establishing connections; programming features; establishing connections and integration; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; and coordinating with contractors.
12.Verify service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
13.All cable’s and equipment must be organized and labeled clearly for easy identification and maintenance work, including recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
14.You are responsible to call and set an appointment with the customer to carry out cabling work.
15.To ensure good customers satisfaction and maintain good customers rapport by listening to and resolving concerns and answering questions.
16.Maintain a safe work environment by following safety rules, codes, standards, and legal regulations.
17.Complete job assignments in a timely manner. All service order documents must be filled up accurately and timely. Ensure that the related documents (delivery order, service order, invoice & etc) are signed and stamped by the customer immediately after job is done.
18.Efficient cooperation and efficient teamwork are essential when managing shared job assignments.
19.To ensure that the daily jobs/projects status are updated and submitted timely to Operation Manager for the main report compilation.
20.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
21.Participates and contributes value to the achievement of the company’s vision, mission and strategies policies, procedures, and goal.
22.Ready to take on any other tasks and/or duties when requested and/or as needed.
Requirement
1.Must have min 3 years’ experience in particular industries as cable technician
2.Required Language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin
3. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal
4.Have GDL License and Driving License
5. Good communications and presentations skills
6. Able to work in teams.
7. Ability work at height area.
