Instrument Technician

Key Responsibilities :

To do preventive maintenance, for instrumentation, fire alarm & detection system, CCTV, control valves, & basic control system;
To replace, repair, troubleshoot, calibrate or clean instrumentation and automations systems;
To troubleshoot visually and with varied testing equipment to all systems throughout the Plant. Change hardware in PLC / DCS system to maintain interface between automation and operations as needed;
Responsible for regular work orders as well as emergencies throughout the plant and is responsible for housekeeping in all work areas;
Performs maintenance on equipment that monitors flow, temperature, density and pressure, level, field instrument & pneumatic valves;
Communicate daily with supervisor in terms of daily work reports and findings;
Ability to work on a standby basis as and when required;
To comply with Company Safety’s Policy and Procedures;
To perform all other duties, activities and responsibilities that may be assigned by the superior of Manager whenever necessary from time to time.

Job Requirements :

Minimum Certificate in Electrical, Instrumentation or Automation or any other related qualifications;
At least 2 years of experience in industrial electrical and instrument;
Experience working in Chemical/Oil & Gas / Heavy industry will be an added advantage;
Preferable those with basic computer skills knowledge i.e Microsoft Office – Excel, Google.
Good communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels;
Good organizational skills and able to work independently;
Able to lead contractor for PPM & reactive maintenance;
Be proactive in work improvement;
Able to read & analyse PFD & PID diagnosis;
Knowledgeable using HART communicator
Must be physically fit due to the exposure to a high temperature work environment.
