What will I be doing?

A Web Designer is responsible for designing the overall layout and aesthetic for websites and eDMs. Their duties include coding web pages or entire websites, meeting with clients to review website templates or refine their designs and running tests to preview layouts and website features. As a Web Designer you will be responsible not only for designing impactful visual executions, but for working together with the Creative Group Head and Creative Director in conceptualization and ideation. You should have a love for craft and keen attention to detail. Above all, you should be a curious person. A non-conformist, striving to always be better and always asking how can I go beyond this brief?

You will be responsible of:

• Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients.
• Testing and improving the design of the website.
• Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
• Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
• Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
• Working with different content management systems.
• Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
• Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
• Designing sample pages including colors and fonts.
• Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.

What will I need?

• A relevant diploma in a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a digital agency.
• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
• Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript a plus.
• Good understanding of content management systems.
• Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Excellent visual design and communication skills.
• Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
• Creative and open to new ideas.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
• An impeccable portfolio.
• A keen attention to detail.
• Solid time-management skills
