Primary Function :

• To setup the CNC Turning & CAM machines with the right tools to produce high precision turning parts for automotive & electronics industries.
• To have the cost conscious mindset including world class productivity output attitude to sustain the manufacturing competitiveness by meeting KPI / targets set.
• To maintain high quality parts produced from the setup by the Production Engineering Technician and Engineer to meet customer requirements in Quality, Delivery and Cost indicators

Secondary Function :

• To minimize machine downtime related to quality issue from the poor machine setup workmanship.
• To maintain cutting / drilling tools life with accurate recording at the highest discipline manner and conduct cost saving study on tool’s life span optimization.
• To setup CNC turning / CAM turning machines and maintain its performance to produce turning parts according to the required Standards.
• To adhere strictly to recommend tool life span policy (no. of cut/drill) and be 100% responsible to all bad setup and be accountable to rejection due to bad quality tooling setup.
• Adjust machine when quality problem detected.
• Ensure that machine is clear from parts before carry out adjustment, repairing and setting.
• Re-setting machine according to specification requirements.
• Submit daily report to Engineering HOD for analysis.
• Improve the machine stability, reduce the tolerence band width in order to reduce deviation reject.
• Improve the machine to optimum running condition to meet Company Objectives (MTBA, MTBF, Productivity & OEE).
• To carry out 5s activity at machine at all time to avoid part mixed up.
• To maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standard and procedures.
• Have hands on experience in CNC programming for Auto Lathe / Machining Centre (preferably turning) will be added advantage.
