You will be working on the project to empower talent to be future ready through capability development & training innovation as a NLB Academy Intern.
[What you will be working on]
- Research and Analysis: Identify and analyse emerging trends and technologies in library and archival sciences. Synthesise complex information into clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Content Creation and Communication: Create effective visual aids and infographics to support learning. Produce well-written posts and articles on library and archival topics.
- Innovation and Creativity: Generate innovative ideas for enhancing librarian and archivist skills. Apply creative problem-solving techniques to address challenges in L&A professional development.
- Training and Facilitation: Assist in organising of training workshops and seminars. Manage event logistics, including scheduling and participant registration.
- Project Management and Leadership: Participate effectively in planning meetings and contribute ideas to training initiatives. Collaborate with team members to organise and execute professional events.
- Industry Knowledge: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the professional development landscape in library and archival sciences. Recognise the importance of continuous learning in the L&A field.
[What we are looking for]
1. Research and Analytical Skills for Understanding:
- Ability to gather, synthesise, and analyse information
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
2. Digital Literacy and Creative Skills:
- Proficiency in using common software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
- Familiarity with digital content creation tools
- Basic graphic design abilities for creating infographics and visual aids
- Creative thinking for developing innovative training ideas
- Ability to present information in engaging and accessible ways
3. Communication, Organisational and Interpersonal Skills:
- Good written communication skills for posts, articles, and reports
- Verbal communication skills for presentations and workshops
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Project management basics
- Teamwork and collaboration abilities
4. Basic Understanding of Library and Archival Sciences and Technology Awareness
