Role Description and Qualifications:

Education requirements: 

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, advance/ higher/ Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Mechanical, Building Services or equivalent.

Experience requirements:

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in engineering design and consultancy environment in HVAC design, preferably in manufacturing, industrial building, and infrastructure-related projects.
• Knowledge of the relevant software is required.
• Knowledge of international and local standards is required.
• Knowledge of FM Global standards is preferable.
• Knowledge of hx chart is required.
• Experienced in working on EPC / EPCM projects is an advantage.
• Team player with strong focus on exploring and learning new things.

Responsibilities and Assessment:

• Responsible for the complete project design, implementation and management
• Design of the required systems (Cleanroom, exhaust, ventilation, fresh air condition, chilled water systems, energy recovery, air condition, scrubber and others)
• Calculations (but not limited to) for heat load, mass balance, heat loss, duct sizing, MUA, fan design, cooling coils, dry cooling coils, FFU sizing, scrubber sizing, capacity and utilization 
• Preparation of flow diagrams, P&IDs, routing and equipment layout and GA drawings
• Lead the HVAC system from conceptual design through detailed engineering, tender, construction, commissioning, testing & balancing, and final handover to the client (including as-built documentation and training).
• Preparation of interface matrix, FUM, equipment list and other lists based on the project requirements
• Preparation of tender documents like scope description, specifications and standards, brand and type selection, quality requirements, installation, commissioning and acceptance requirements
• Preparation of BOQs and estimates for review with management to finalize tender costing
• Liaise with authorities on plan submission and compliance
• Responsible to handle and complete the project within pre-determined time and cost
• Prepare daily activities planning & programming
• Site monitoring and coordination during construction and warranty period
• To ensure fulfilment of the tender/project contractual requirements in terms of design, functionality and constructability for the scope of work and compliant with relevant standards and safety procedures
• To ensure timely response on commercial & technical issues
• Fostering positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
