Job Summary

Seven Oaks Bakery & Cafe is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness and organization, and ensure smooth workflow in a fast-paced bakery and café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation (washing, cutting, peeling, portioning ingredients)
• Support bakery production (prepping ingredients for pastries, breads, and desserts)
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
• Wash dishes, trays, and baking tools
• Receive and properly store deliveries (FIFO method)
• Dispose of waste and maintain sanitation standards
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assist chefs and bakers during busy service hours
• Refill supplies and monitor stock levels
• Support front-of-house team when needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen, bakery, or café preferred (not mandatory)
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good physical stamina (standing for long hours, lifting up to 25–50 lbs if required)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible availability (weekends and early mornings may be required)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
