About the role

UNIP Plastic Industries SDN BHD is seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team on a full-time basis in Cheras, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, preparing and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods that meet our exacting standards and delight our customers. This position is central to our culinary operations, allowing you to showcase your technical expertise and artistic flair whilst contributing to the success of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of cookies, biscuits, festive treats, and traditional Halal kuih-muih.

• Ensure products are made consistently with high quality and good presentation.

• Develop new recipes and improve existing products.

• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and Halal standards in the kitchen.

• Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients.

• Ensure production schedules are met on time.

What we're looking for

1. Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Pastry, Baking, or Culinary Arts.

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in baking cookies, biscuits, and traditional Halal kuih-muih.

3. Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.

4. Strong understanding of ingredients, flavour combinations and food safety regulations.

5. Able to work independently and in a team environment.

6. Creative, responsible, and committed to producing quality products.

7. Good time management and attention to detail.
