Key Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems and networks to meet organizational requirements.
Evaluating existing systems and proposing improvements or upgrades to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
Troubleshooting system and network issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
Collaborating with other IT professionals to integrate systems and ensure compatibility across platforms.
Providing technical support and guidance to end-users, assisting with software/hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Monitoring system performance and security, implementing preventive measures to mitigate potential risks.
Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Participating in the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in systems engineering or a similar role, with a strong understanding of computer systems and networks.
Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and infrastructure components (servers, routers, switches, etc.).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effectively interacting with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing system issues.
Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate) is a plus.
Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve system capabilities.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, when necessary, particularly during system upgrades or maintenance activities.
