Welcome to Newton International College, established in mid-1993 by Tan Sri Shariff Ahmad, a former Minister of Education, and Mr. Yan Kock Yuen, an entrepreneur. The college's inception was inspired by Mr. Yan's experience when building "The Syuen Hotel" in Ipoh, where he faced challenges in sourcing well-trained personnel for the hospitality industry. Recognizing the demand for skilled professionals in this sector and the lack of easily available training, the founder decided to establish a Hotel & Catering Management School.
Initially located on Gopeng Road, a purpose-built facility was developed to provide comprehensive training in Hotel and Catering Management. As the student population grew, the college expanded its infrastructure to the new building in Pekan Razaki, capable of accommodating approximately 600 students. Accreditation from both the Ministry and a foreign university further attested to the college's top-notch facilities for training in Hotel Management.
In 2014, the college was relocated to Kuala Lumpur, operating from Lot 803-804, Aras 8, Tower One, Faber Tower, Jalan Bahagia, Taman Desa, *8100 Kuala Lumpur. Under new management, the college continued its commitment to excellence, providing a conducive environment for both students and staff.
In 2019, the college underwent a rebranding as Newton College, embracing a fresh identity while improving its facilities. This transformation aims to create an even more favorable learning environment for students and employees alike.
At Newton International College, we are dedicated to delivering quality education in the fields of Hotel and Catering Management. Our legacy of providing skilled professionals to the hospitality industry has been built on years of experience and commitment to excellence. Join us in this journey of growth and learning, and together, let's shape a bright future for the hospitality industry.
