Requirements
- Fluent Mandarin language skills are essential due to business nature.
- Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain functions is a plus.
- Must possess at least an SPM equivalent or higher tertiary education.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of the Lighting industry is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Assist the purchasing team in sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers, particularly Chinese suppliers
- Utilize Mandarin language skills to communicate effectively with Chinese suppliers and facilitate smooth procurement processes.
- Prepare purchase orders, track order progress, and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast product demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-effective purchasing opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, supplier information, and product specifications.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to orders, deliveries, and invoices.
- Assist in price negotiations and contract terms with suppliers while ensuring favorable terms for the company.
