Requirements
- Must posses valid GDL license for 3 tonne lorry
- Minimum 2 years lorry driving project site experience.
- On job training will be provided
- Familiar with routes around Klang Valley
- Ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthy
- Mechanical skills, such as changing the engine oil
- Ability to communicate with both suppliers and site and provide up-to-date information, such as delivery times
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance in the event of accident or breakdown while in transit
- Safely securing heavy loads and large goods for transport
- Organising the most efficient route from pickup point to drop off point
- Keeping informed of road closures, accidents and traffic diversions
- Organising multiple drop-offs and deliveries in each working day
- Supervising and assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries into the lorry
- Updating vehicle log books, recording deliveries and tracking mileage
- Complying with all MOT and in-house regulations and rules
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia and able to interact with all levels of staff / sub-contractors.
- Perform any other project duties as assigned by the superior.
- Willing to work 6days a weeks including weekend
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the loading and offloading of goods.
- Prepare, inspecting, operate and cleaning the vehicle.
- Safely transporting goods to and from distribution centers.
- Obeying the rules of the road and following company safety regulations.
- Finding the quickest and safest route to each project site and warehouse.
- Completing daily trips (one way/return) logs.
- Following accident procedures.
- Reporting immediately if any accidents or delays occured.
- Conducting minor roadside repairs on the truck.
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
- Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
- Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
- Maintaining a good relationship with customers.
- Perform daily outbound operation tasks and any other assigned tasks and ensure on time delivery, material & quantity accuracy and material quality.
- Responsible on stock accuracy, stock take regularly in warehouse.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.
