Requirements
- Graduation in a related field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Safety Engineering is preferred.
- Strong experience in supervision and management, with in-depth knowledge of DOSH SOPs.
- Deep understanding of occupational safety laws and regulations issued by DOSH.
- Good communication skills and effective leadership to manage teams and interact with DOSH authorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities and security issues effectively.
- Skills in the use of management software and computer applications for the storage and monitoring of safety and maintenance records.
Responsibilities
- Lead the good hoist maintenance and installation team by fully complying with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Ensure that all good hoist maintenance and installation operations are carried out in accordance with DOSH SOPs to ensure worker safety and compliance with safety laws.
- Coordinate the maintenance and installation of good hoist with safety guidelines set by DOSH, including periodic inspection procedures and safety tests.
- Conduct periodic safety training for staff to ensure understanding and compliance with DOSH SOPs while performing their duties.
- Inspect and monitor the maintenance and installation of good hoists to ensure compliance with DOSH SOPs and take corrective action if necessary.
- Supervise the safety supervision and audit process by DOSH and take the necessary actions to comply with the requirements and conditions set.
- Maintain good hoist maintenance and installation records and ensure reports are submitted to relevant authorities as directed by DOSH.
- Provide support and guidance to staff in compliance with DOSH SOPs as well as the implementation of best safety practices in the workplace.
- Communicate effectively with DOSH authorities and ensure full compliance with established regulations and guidelines.
- Handle any security incident or breach immediately and implement appropriate remedial measures as prescribed by DOSH SOP.
