Summary

To assist and support the Maintenance Supervisor in the overall mechanical, civil, and electrical/electronical functioning of the restaurants and hostels under the group as well as to deliver goods product. The incumbent is also required to carry out repairs and remedial works where necessary and monitor works that are carried out by the appointed.

Description of Responsibilities

1. Follow the instructions of the Maintenance Supervisor. Work closely with the Managers and Person-In-Charge on coordinating any maintenance works and delivery of goods.
2. Work closely with the Purchasing and Inventory Executive on the delivery of product.
3. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor to source for relevant and quality M&E service providers.
4. To monitor services rendered by the civil, mechanical, and electrical/electronical contractors to existing properties or properties under renovation ensuring that they adhere to specifications, quality and safety standards.
5. To ensure the upkeep of all furniture & fixtures in the premise, office and hostels.
6. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in replacing defective parts, carry out repairs and performing routine inspections of the factory, stores and machines etc to ensure potential defects are attended to in a timely manner.
7. Send the company vehicles for repairs and regular maintenance services.
8. Keep track of all maintenance records in a “Maintenance Record Book” to be reviewed and signed off by the Maintenance Supervisor.
9. Attend to emergency requests timely or overnight maintenance or work that must be carried out to avoid interruption to the business of the restaurants. If these requests are made outside the office hours, the company shall provide replacement hours.
10. Properly maintain and keep the tools and equipment provided to the maintenance team.
11. Alert the management of any safety and security concerns to enable appropriate measures can be taken timely. Also to assist in the coordination of any safety and security efforts approved by management.
12. To educate users on the proper handling and use of electrical and mechanical machines.
13. To put up instruction labels on the Dos and Don’ts when using the equipment, machines and etc.
14. Any other reasonable duties that need to be assigned from time to time.
