Job Description

Requirements

  1. Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  2. Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in audit and/or tax (fresh freelancers with strong knowledge may be considered).

  3. Good knowledge of accounting standards (MPERS/MFRS) and Malaysian tax regulations.

  4. Familiarity with audit/tax software and Microsoft Excel.

  5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  6. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

  7. Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).

  8. Responsible, reliable, and able to handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audit procedures including checking supporting documents, vouching, and verification of transactions.

  • Assist in preparation of audit working papers and financial statements in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., MPERS/MFRS).

  • Prepare and review tax computations for companies and individuals.

  • Assist in preparation and submission of tax returns (e-Filing) within deadlines.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary financial information and clarifications.

  • Handle basic correspondence with tax authorities (e.g., LHDN) when required.

  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure confidentiality of client information.
