Proven experience as an Accountant with at least 6 years of relevant work history, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Proficiency in General Ledger Management, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.

Solid experience in Auditing, with the ability to assist in internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance.

Expertise in Financial Reporting, including the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with GAAP.

Demonstrated ability in Budgeting and Forecasting, including variance analysis and financial planning support.

Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Excellent command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both written and spoken, for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a freelance, hybrid work environment.

Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is highly desirable.

Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.

Conduct internal audits to assess financial controls, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements.

Develop and manage departmental budgets, track expenditures, and provide variance analysis.

Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and identify any discrepancies.

Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.

Support tax compliance activities, including preparation and filing of relevant tax returns.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
