Full Time Intermediate Interior Designer Jobs, Salary up to MYR 4,500 in Arteve Studio Selangor - Maukerja

Diploma certificate, Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.

Approximately 3-5 years of experience in corporate interiors or workplace fit-out projects.

Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, design thinking, and technical execution.

Proficient in AutoCAD, 3Dsmax, SketchUp, Canva, Microsoft office, Photoshop, Illustrator and others if any.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Mandarin speaker is advantage.

Highly organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Own transport and willingness to travel locally for project requirements.

Willing to travel locally; own transport preferred.

This role will drive workplace Interior Projects from the conceptual stage through to on-site completion. You will work closely with senior designers, external suppliers, and associate partners to deliver high-quality, functional, and inspiring work environments. You are expected to work with a high degree of independence while collaborating with the wider team to uphold design standards.

Design Coordination & Collaboration

• Support the design development across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Collaborate effectively within the studio culture, showing initiative and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Assist in overseeing the work of junior team members to ensure technical accuracy and design alignment.

Conceptual & Design Development

• Develop design concepts and visual storytelling that align with client objectives.
• Translate ideas into practical space planning, material selections, and lighting concepts.
• Balance creative intent with practical considerations like budget and constructability.
• Confidently present design proposals to clients and stakeholders, articulating ideas professionally.
• Keep updated on workplace trends, sustainability practices, and new materials.

Technical Design & Execution

• Prepare detailed drawing sets, layouts, and 3D models using AutoCAD, 3Ds Max or SketchUp.
• Ensure all design documentation is accurate, coordinated, and ready for construction.
• Apply technical knowledge of interior construction methods and detailing to all drawings.
• Proactively resolve design and site-related issues during the construction phase.

Project Coordination & Delivery

• Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, associate partners, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling to meet agreed-upon timelines.
• Liaise with consultants and sub-contractors to ensure design intent is properly executed on-site.
• Review design outputs to maintain consistency, quality, and buildability.
• Provide active design support during site implementation and respond quickly to site challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience specifically in corporate interiors or workplace fit-out projects.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating solid concept development and technical execution.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
