Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Advanced Diploma or Degree or its equivalent

• At least 2-3 years’ experience in commissioning and list building in the Higher Education market

• Experience in editorial/publishing work an advantage

• Ability to identify and analyse emerging higher education trends and exploit business opportunities

• Resourceful, results driven, conscientious, meticulous and proactive

• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communicational and organizational skills

• A creative thinker and team player with a strong commitment to deadlines

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  

• Negotiating agreements and contracts with authors

• Planning, organising and monitoring the progress of projects

• Undertaking market research/investigating market trends

• Reading, evaluating and commissioning titles

• Liaising with authors, sales and marketing; and production staff

• Writing reports

• To identify, conceptualize and develop a dynamic publishing program for the Higher Education.

• To commission business related titles of value which meet required market needs and achieves the desired financial outcomes.

• To lead and motivate authors, editorial and production team to publish to the required levels of quality, cost and time.

• To nurture existing academic contacts and expand further the bank of quality and committed authors
