Requirements
1. Education & Certifications
Certified in professional nail technology or equivalent national certification).
Formal beauty or nail education background preferred
2. Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a nail technician.
At least 1–2 years of experience in training, team leadership, or senior technician roles.
Experience in chain salons, training academies, or as a brand educator is an advantage
3. Technical Skills
Proficient in basic and advanced nail services (e.g., manicure, pedicure, gel, acrylic/extension, ombré, French, nail art, etc.)
Familiar with a wide range of nail tools, equipment, and product types.
Able to stay current with nail trends and translate them into training modules or service upgrades.
Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation standards, and safety protocols
4. Communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (additional languages is a plus).
Able to clearly demonstrate and explain techniques to trainees of varying skill levels.
Confident in providing feedback and conducting assessments professionally and constructively
5. Problem-Solving
Capable of addressing trainee challenges or customer-related issues with tact and efficiency.
Able to adjust training methods to suit different learning styles and performance levels.
Resourceful in finding practical solutions to technical or operational concerns in a salon/training environment
6. Organizational Skills
Strong planning and time management skills for scheduling, curriculum development, and training follow-ups.
Able to maintain training records, monitor progress, and report on trainee performance.
Skilled in coordinating with other departments to align training with brand standards and business goals
Responsibilities
1. Training & Development
Design and deliver structured training programs for new and existing nail technicians.
Conduct onboarding training for new hires covering company standards, service protocols, and core techniques (manicure, pedicure, gel, nail art, etc.).
Continuously assess and upgrade team skillsets through refresher courses, workshops, and performance-based coaching.
2. Quality Control
Perform regular on-site audits to ensure technicians meet company standards in hygiene, technique, and customer service.
Identify skill gaps and recommend tailored training interventions.
3. Curriculum Development
Create SOPs, manuals, and video tutorials that align with the brand’s identity and service expectations.
Keep training materials updated with new industry trends, techniques, and tools.
4. Product Knowledge
Educate staff on proper usage, benefits, and contraindications of nail care products used by the company.
Train on any new product or tool launches to ensure seamless integration into services.
5. Coaching & Mentorship
Provide one-on-one coaching to underperforming staff and offer support to high-potential team members.
Act as a role model in professionalism, client handling, and technical skill.
6. Evaluation & Reporting
Assess trainee performance through practical tests, and client feedback.
Report training outcomes and staff development progress to the Operations or HR department.
7. Innovation & Brand Alignment
Recommend new services, nail trends, and improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Ensure all training and service delivery reflect the brand’s image, culture, and values.
8. Team Collaboration
Work closely with salon managers to align training with operational needs.
