Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an procurement executive level.
Strong understanding of packaging materials, design and production processes.
Proven experience in procurement and supplier management, particularly within the packaging industry.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Analytical skills to evaluate cost, quality, and delivery performance of suppliers.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.
Strong critical-thinking and problem solving skills; ability to recognize and resolve discrepancies and issues.
Detailed oriented with effective planning, cost analysis, report preparation is an added advantage.
Candidate must have discretion, good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Review the stock status and analyses the suggested order based on Planning or Forecast.
Liaison with internal Department such as Planner, Production, QA, R&D to fulfil their requirements.
Educates suppliers of performance measurement and continuous improvements.
Negotiate pricing with suppliers to get the best price for achieving cost reduction.
Keep track and monitor the order delivery to support Production’s need to avoid Line down.
Familiar with handling the import shipments, including cross-checking the shipping documents from the supplier before the shipment arrives, liaison & follow-up with forwarder agent for the shipment clearance’s status.
Keep inventory at a reasonable level per requirements through negotiation with supplier by push out, reschedule or even cancelling the open orders.
Address and resolve situation such as shortage, allocation, bad balance & discrepancy.
Responsible for data summarization, establish the supply database of material purchasing analyze and propose on short-term & long-term purchasing strategies to avoid shortage and excess.
Sourcing, evaluating, and engage suppliers based on set criteria to achieve cost savings and best value for the company.
Good communication with supplier via daily emails and phone calls or conference calls when there being delivery issue & quality issue, payment issue or others till it’s resolved properly.
Establishes and strengthen good relationships with supplier and internal departments. Work closely with Planning team to learn about the real demand and its fluctuation and proactively work on any changes. Be effective & efficient in communication & resolve issue.
Manage the purchasing OKR’s based on department needs.
Provide supporting documents of raw materials based on QA department’s requirement.
Work closely & support R&D’s requirement based on their requested.
Prepare monthly reports for Management review.
Other duties as assigned.
