Previous experience in a pet care environment such as a kennel, cattery, veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or similar setting is preferred but not required. Candidates without formal experience should at least be comfortable handling and managing multiple cats and/or dogs at the same time in a safe and responsible manner.

Experience handling cats and dogs in a safe and controlled manner, with familiarity in basic restraint techniques, grooming assistance, and recognising signs of stress or discomfort.

Basic understanding of animal behavior, recognizing signs of stress, illness, or aggression, and knowing how to respond appropriately.

Experience with dog walking, including managing multiple dogs, leash training, and ensuring safety during outdoor excursions.

Ability to perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of animal enclosures, common areas, and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with colleagues and pet owners.

Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.

A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to providing them with the highest standard of care and attention.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and a responsible approach to pet care.

Provide direct care and supervision for cats and dogs in a free-roam boarding and daycare environment, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.

Conduct regular cleaning and sanitation of play areas and common spaces to maintain a hygienic and disease-free environment for all animals.

Execute daily feeding routines according to specific dietary plans and administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians, maintaining accurate records.

Engage animals in appropriate play and exercise activities, including supervised dog walking, to promote physical health and mental stimulation.

Monitor animal behavior for any signs of stress, illness, or injury, and promptly report concerns to the management or veterinary staff.

Maintain detailed records of each animal's daily activities, including feeding, medication, behavior, and any notable observations.

Support the overall operations of the facility by performing general maintenance tasks and ensuring supplies are adequately stocked.
