Requirements
A Bachelor Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management or equivalent preferred.
Proficient in English/Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
At least 5+ years of experience in sales, personnel management and/or product planning.
Able to demonstrate a previous track record of success in expanding product reach, sales channels, and/or business solutions.
Preferably with a background in in Automotive or related industries.
Able to use qualitative and quantitative data to prioritise and drive decision-making.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and influence key business stakeholders.
Must possess own transport and willing to travel.
The ability to manage uncertainty and ambiguity well. You can make decisive calls without enough information, with the ability to create things from scratch and operate in an ambiguous environment.
Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing factors, priorities, and deadlines.
Responsibilities
Explore, identify and develop new market opportunity locally or overseas for our stable of brands.
Lead negotiator for company during major sales meetings / pitch.
Develop a robust sales strategy, through analysis of consumer, market and financial data, to ensure the pipeline of products can deliver to the company’s growth strategy and to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Conducting necessary training, engaging necessary sales teams throughout the process, defining the KPI/requirements/sales targets to ensure a fair but constant push of products into the market, or obtain new account acquisitions and sales channels.
Maintaining and analysing customer records. Ensure customer satisfaction through regular visits, follow-ups, product recommendations, and timely issue resolution. Develop good business relationships with both new and longstanding customers / dealers to help fuel innovation plans, provide proper sales support/updates, and ensure continued market coverage.
Provide sales forecasts to support inventory planning and reduce stock issue situations.
Prepare market reports, customer visit reports, sales pipelines, and performance analysis for upper management.
Keeping abreast with industry trends, market information, field intelligence feedback and needs in the related industries. Regularly monitor and analyse competitors’ product to attain market positions.
Evaluate dealer performance, identify underperforming accounts, and implement improvement plans.
Work with management or other departments to develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, bundle offers, dealer incentives, and seasonal sales programs.
