Key Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• Professional certifications demonstrate a service engineer's competency and adherence to safety standards are a plus

Experience

• At least 2 year experiences

• Experience in managing large-scale chiller plants and working in multidisciplinary teams is added value

Technical Capabilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, HVAC, and related equipment is added value

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Basic knowledge of regulations related to chiller plant operations

• Willingness to work outside normal business hours in case of emergencies

• Detail-oriented and technically sound

Purpose of the role

• Responsible for project planning, coordinating, and executing from start to completion

• Design review, equipment selection, cost estimation, site supervision, quality assurance, and ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and client requirements

• Responsible to issue project claim and ensure certificate issuance in a timely manner

Key Accountabilities

Technical Oversight & Problem-Solving:

• Accountable for the technical accuracy and quality of the project

• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications

• Key person responsible for troubleshooting and providing effective engineering solutions when technical issues arise on-site or during the design phase

Planning & Scheduling:

• Assist in developing and maintaining the project schedule, focusing on the sequence of technical tasks, engineering deliverables, and resource allocation

• Ensure that all technical milestones are met to keep the project on track

Resource and Budget Management:

• Manage the allocation and use of technical resources

• Assist in cost estimating and tracking expenditures for engineering-related activities to ensure the project remains within its budget

• Submission of project claims and ensure certificate issuance to be released without delay

Quality & Safety Control:

• Core responsibility is to ensure that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control policies

• Perform regular site inspections, conduct quality checks, and enforce safety protocols to guarantee that the final product is safe, functional, and meets all required standards

Communication & Coordination:

• Primary technical point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and the on-site team

• Communicate project requirements, provide technical guidance, and relay progress updates to all stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned on the technical aspects of the project

Working Relationships

Internal Relationships:

• Daily coordination with the Project Manager, Design Engineer, and Site Supervisors to align on project schedules, technical requirements, and work progress

• Collaborates with the Procurement team for material requisitions and supplier follow-ups, and with the Finance department for cost tracking and progress claims

• Regular communication with the Service and Maintenance teams ensures proper system handover and continuity after project completion

• Also involves working with Health & Safety officers to maintain compliance with company safety standards and site regulations

External Relationships:

• Interfaces directly with clients, consultants, and main contractors to clarify project specifications, resolve technical issues, and manage approvals of design and submittals

• Coordination with equipment vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery, quality installation, and adherence to contract terms
