• Bachelor of Bioscience Medical or; Bachelor of Biomedical Science, recognized by the Government of Malaysia.

• Basic Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

• Excellent communications skills, compassionate.

• Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrate high initiative and work independently towards achieving goals and objectives competently

1. Clinical Function:

• Competent and efficient in conducting laboratory testing that provides crucial information for detecting, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring diseases.

• Adhere to and execute tasks according to the hospital’s and laboratory’s policies and procedures. 

2. Administrative Function: 

• Ensure that inventory control is properly implemented, i.e. to ensure items received do not have short expiry dates, notify immediate superiors on shortage of supplies, monitor stock inventory record.

• Perform quality control, institute preventive maintenance of equipment, and ensure policies and procedures are followed so that test performances are at an acceptable level and standard in accordance to Laboratory MS ISO 15189 Quality Manual. 

• Perform and monitor daily quality control (QC) of the tests, institute corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment and ensure policies and procedures are followed 

• Perform or carry out laboratory testing and tasks according to laboratory’s policies and procedures
