Responsibilities
This role ensures uninterrupted power supply, compliance with statutory regulations, and adherence to safety standards. The Chargeman will oversee electrical installations, troubleshoot faults, and support facility operations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and distribution boards up to 11kV
2. Ensure all electrical equipment and installations comply with local regulations and safety standards (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements)
3. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective works on electrical systems
4. Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults, minimizing downtime and operational disruption
5. Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, logs, and reports
6. Supervise and coordinate with contractors for electrical works and ensure work is carried out safely and according to specifications
7. Ensure proper switching procedures and isolation during maintenance or emergencies
8. Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, including power failures and system breakdowns
9. Assist in energy management and efficiency initiatives
10. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and statutory requirements
11. Support audits, inspections, and certification processes
12. Carry out maintenance and basic troubleshooting for air-conditioning (HVAC) systems
13. Support maintenance of mechanical systems (pumps, motors, etc.)
14. Perform minor civil and building repair works (walls, ceilings, fittings, etc.)
15. Ensure all M&E systems are functioning efficiently to support daily operations
REQUIREMENTS
1. Must possess a valid Chargeman BO (11kV) Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission Malaysia)
2. Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in industrial, commercial, or hospitality environments
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including HV/LV distribution, transformers, and switchgear
4. Familiar with electrical safety standards and regulations
5. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
6. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
7. Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
