Job Summary:

We are seeking a Wireman/Chargeman to join our Engineering and Operations team. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of EV charging infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Maintenance:

· Install EV charging stations at residential, commercial, and industrial locations.

· Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems related to EV charging stations.

· Ensure proper cable management, earthing, and safety procedures are followed during installations.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

· Diagnose and repair electrical faults in EV chargers and associated low-voltage (LV) infrastructure.

· Perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.

3. Compliance and Safety:

· Ensure all installations comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and local electrical safety standards.

· Maintain adherence to ST building wiring installation standards and specifications.

4. Operational Support:

· Assist in designing electrical wiring layouts for EV charging systems.

· Provide technical support during the commissioning and testing of new installations.

· Work with the project team to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.

· Prepare reports on electrical performance and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

· A0 Certification by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (mandatory). PW4 (Also Preffered)

· Fresh graduates with good grades or national-level sports players are encouraged to apply.

· Experienced applicants must have experience with installing and troubleshooting Low Voltage (LV) equipment.

· Experience with ST building wiring installation standards and specifications is mandatory for experienced applicants.

· Knowledge of OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) or permitting is not required but is beneficial.

Skills and Competencies

· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and LV equipment installation.

· Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Experience

· Previous experience in large electrical installations (e.g., telecom, industrial, or data centers) is desirable but not required.

· Familiarity with EV charger installation is a plus.
