Full Time SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER Jobs, Salary up to MYR 10,000 in Ingenious Works International (M) Selangor - Maukerja

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

· 4–6 years’ experience in Electrical EPCC projects, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.

· Proven experience in project management, team leadership, and multi-disciplinary coordination.

· Strong hands-on experience with power distribution systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, cabling, and related electrical infrastructure.

· Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes, standards, and statutory regulations.

· Experience working under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team player skills.

· Proficiency in project management tools, software, and reporting systems.

· Strong understanding of HSE requirements, ISO quality standards, and regulatory compliance in electrical projects.

(A) Project Engineering & Execution

·         Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design, procurement support, installation, testing, and commissioning.

·         Review project scope, specifications, drawings, and schedules to ensure electrical engineering requirements are clearly defined and achievable.

·         Coordinate with design, procurement, construction, commissioning & environmental, safety and health (ESH) teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.

·         Support preparation and implementation of project execution plans, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and commissioning procedures.

·         Ensure electrical works are executed in compliance with contractual, technical, and statutory requirements.

·         Participate in site activities, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover to ensure readiness and performance compliance.

(B)  Technical Leadership & Team Coordination

·         Provide technical leadership and guidance to electrical engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.

·         Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, instrumentation, HSE, procurement, planning, and QA/QC.

·         Review and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals, calculations, and technical documentation.

·         Resolve technical design and site issues promptly to minimize delays and rework.

·         Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability development within the electrical engineering team.

·         Participate in internal technical reviews and contribute to lessons-learned initiatives.

(C) Cost, Project Schedule & Risk Assessment

·         Support the Project Manager in monitoring project schedules, manpower deployment, and progress of electrical works.

·         Assist in cost control by optimizing designs, materials, and installation methods without compromising quality or safety.

·         Identify technical risks and construction challenges and propose mitigation measures.

·         Support change management activities, including evaluation of variations, technical clarifications, and impact assessments.

(D) Quality Assurance & HSE Compliance

·         Ensure all electrical activities comply with approved quality plans, HSE plans, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.

·         Conduct technical audits, inspections, and quality checks for electrical installations and systems.

·         Ensure proper implementation of safe work practices, risk assessments, and method statements at site.

·         Support investigations and corrective actions related to non-conformances, incidents, or near-misses.

(E)  Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting

·         Act as a key technical interface with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors for electrical engineering matters.

·         Attend technical meetings, coordination meetings, and site progress meetings as required.

·         Prepare and submit technical reports, progress updates, and commissioning documentation to project management.

·         Support the Project Manager in client communications related to technical queries, approvals, and handovers.

(F)  Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

·         Monitor electrical engineering deliverables, milestones, and KPIs to ensure timely completion.

·         Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions where performance gaps are identified.

·         Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the electrical engineering team.

·         Contribute technical input to proposals, tenders, and project bids when required.
