Requirements
Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent).
3-5 years of proven experience in CNC machining operations, with a strong understanding of various CNC machine types and programming.
Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, overseeing a team of CNC operators and machinists.
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of manufactured parts.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience in implementing them to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Solid understanding of safety management protocols within a manufacturing environment, including hazard identification and risk mitigation.
Experience with routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environment and liaise with other departments.
Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential for effective communication within the diverse team and with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the CNC machining department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of CNC machinists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment function.
Review production schedules, interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and assign tasks to machinists to meet quality and quantity targets.
Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve production issues, implement process improvements, and ensure product quality meets specifications.
Maintain accurate production records, including machine utilization, material usage, and quality control data, for reporting and analysis.
