Summary:
As a Field Service Technician specializing in Endoscopes, you will be responsible for the on-site inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment at various healthcare facilities. Your role requires a strong technical skill set, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring that medical devices meet safety and performance standards. You will collaborate closely with healthcare providers and the biomedical team to ensure that endoscopic equipment is fully functional and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Inspection & Troubleshooting:
- Perform comprehensive on-site inspections of endoscopic equipment to identify defects, malfunctions, or potential issues.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot and pinpoint problems in the equipment.
- Assess the condition of parts and components to determine if repairs or replacements are necessary.
Planned Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on endoscopic equipment to ensure long-term functionality and prevent future issues.
- Schedule and manage regular maintenance visits to meet the needs of healthcare facilities.
Customer Support & Training:
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and facility managers to discuss repair needs, provide service updates, and offer technical advice.
- Provide ongoing support to healthcare teams to ensure they understand the functionality and maintenance requirements of their equipment.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Electronics
- At least 1 year of working experience in the maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Must be self-motivated and willing to work under pressure.
- Willing to travel inter-state independently.
- Able to prepare, maintain, and review medical devices and reports.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office and other related software).
